moments spent by the sea
we sat down, by the sea
moments of ecstasy,
filled with glee
fingers intertwined,
your breaths still.
your quietness liminal,
like the sand so similar.
waves crashing,
so full of anger,
the rocks tranquil
whispering love
in the midst of violence.
we got up,
and went back home
we sat to eat;
a screech, a plate smashed.
then two.
god, I’ll miss
the quiet beauty of the sea.
